Due to the harsh economic times we are in Catholic Charities and the Food Bank are asking we continue to collect food, coats & sweaters until the end of February. There was a line of folks waiting for coats and sweaters. Please call us (302-645-9886 or 302-945-2122) if you have stuff. We will pick it up.

Resignations thin DMHOA leadership

Memoriam: Christopher W. White, Esquire

On April 21, 2010, Chris White, the Executive Director of Community Legal Aid Society of Delaware, was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident at 7^th and Shipley Streets in downtown Wilmington. Ironically, the accident occurred outside the Shipley Lofts, a housing development for Wilmingtonâ€™s emerging art community that Chris spearheaded and was only days from opening. Over the years, many DTLA members have contributed their time, talent, and treasure to CLASI, which serves some of the most needy and desperate citizens of our state. As such, the AdvocateEditors thought it only fitting to publish this moving tribute to a man whose career and accomplishments made an indelible mark on the citizens of Delaware.
